Campeggi in Calabria: Ricerca The campground is on the flat and tree-shaded, extending to the beach and covering a small surface area of 5,000 m2. There are sites for camper-vans, caravans and tents.
The first row of campsites on the beach is shaded primarily by matting, while the others all have natural tree shade.
The tall trees, along with an almost constant, delightful northwest breeze, ensure extremely pleasant temperatures that are much cooler than the very high average temperatures typical of southern Italy.
The campsites are contiguous, but each one faces internal lanes perpendicular to the sea and is elevated about ten centimeters, which ensures that any rare rainfall will quickly and harmlessly wash away. This also ensures that each campsite enjoys a sea-view and the benefit of a fine, constant northwest breeze.
The sites are on average 30 m2 in size. Each site has an electrical outlet no more than 12 meters away that complies with CEI regulations.
During the low season, one group of washroom facilities is available to campers, with two facilities available during high season, with free hot showers during convenient hours (from 8 am to 10 am, 12 to 2 pm, and 5 pm to 9 pm), and washing machines.
Each camper has the right to choose either a pay parking spot in the campground at sea level, or a free parking spot in the shaded, tended lot in the upper part of the campground, about 250 meters away on a 45 meter rise.
Quiet hours, when moving cars is also prohibited, are between 2 pm and 4 pm and 11.30 pm and 8 am. No permanent camping or garaging is allowed, and neither guests nor visitors are admitted UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE.
Dogs are prohibited in July and August, and disturbing noises are not allowed.
Since permanent camping is not allowed, stays must not exceed 31 days in a year.
Sites are assigned on arrival at the discretion of the management, bearing in mind actual availability at that moment, bookings made, size of camping vehicle/tent, any special and variable functional needs - even temporary - of the campground, and respecting the standards and regulations laid down regarding ratios, complying with formalities and the limits and bans afore mentioned.
The access road to the lower part of the camp ground comprises five ramps with tight bends over a drop of approximately 45 meters and has a slope of between 6 and 8% (the bends in the road are described and can be seen by clicking on each bend on the map in the sections "village" and "campground" in this website): campervans and caravans which exceed 6 meters in length will be obliged to stop at the top of the downhill run in order to ascertain first hand not only the sites available, but also the practicability of the road.
