The COSTA VERDE holiday village and campground lies between Tropea and Capo Vaticano. Costa Verde is located at San Nicolò di Ricadi in Calabria, on the stretch of Tyrrhenian coast called the "Coast of the Gods" or also the "Beautiful Coast" (in the area of Vibo Valentia). It has its own beach of sand and rocks and lies about 8 kilometres South of Tropea and 800 metres north of the cliffs of Capo Vaticano, both of which are easily reached by road, beach or sea. It is approximately 50 kilometres from the exit for Pizzo and for Vibo Valentia on the "A3" Salerno-Reggio Calabria motorway (when arriving from the North), and about 30 kilometres from the exit for Rosarno when arriving from the South.
The village has its own beach, to which there is no public access, and stands in an area which is famous for its natural beauty and a favoured tourist destination. It faces the Aeolian (or Lipari) Islands across the sea and offers sunsets of unequalled magnificence over these islands and the famous vulcano of Stromboli.
The sea is well-known for its transparency and the colour of its waters and has for many years now been awarded the Blue Flag together with the Four Sails of the Italian Touring Club and of the "Lega Ambiente".
"Les Grands Voyageurs" have described this coast as "one of the hundred most beautiful in the world" and "one of the three most beautiful in Italy".
The village consists of studio and two-roomed apartments and cottages, all brick built and bookable in formula RESIDENCE (rental only), formula VILLAGE (rental with half board), or CAMPING, with fully shaded camp sites right on the beach.
